After years of austerity following the Second World War the 1960s were a time where anything was possible. The world was transformed in every way, including socially, politically and culturally. From miniskirts and moon landings to political, social and cultural changes, this inevitably impacted the design world. The 1960s were a time of hope and anticipation. While the 1950s were focused on the economic recovery, they looked forward to the future with a new generation. The 1960s were a time of travel, hobbies, and technology.
